About the teacher
David Perpiñán graduated in 2000 from the School of Veterinary Science of Barcelona, Spain. He obtained an MSc on Animal Medicine and Surgery in 2003 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD on Animal Health from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in Spain. He has worked with exotic, zoo and wildlife avian patients in places such as Omaha Zoo, University of Georgia, Loro Parque Fundación and several exotic animal hospitals in Spain. He is a diplomate of the European College of Zoological Medicine since 2010 and works at University of Edinburgh as a Lecturer in Exotic Animal and Wildlife Medicine since 2014.
David has given lectures and courses in Europe, South America and USA and has written more than 100 international contributions including books, book chapters, articles and conference presentations. Over the recent years David has been working on webinars and online courses, using his vast experience on zoological medicine and his archive of more than 16,000 pictures to provide high-quality, visual and updated courses.
