Animals with pre-existing health issues, such as those discussed in this course, have unique risks under anesthesia. The main objectives of this course are to elaborate on the pathophysiology of the conditions and their impact on anesthetic outcomes and the survival of small animals. The discussed list of conditions is among those that practicing veterinarians commonly face in small animal practice.
