About the teacher

Dr. Reza Seddighi is a specialist in veterinary anesthesiology and pain management and a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA). Dr. Seddighi is also certified in veterinary medical acupuncture and advanced cardiac life support (cACLS). He is currently a professor and the head of the anesthesia section at the University of Tennessee in the United States and his clinical focus primarily includes performing anesthesia, and management of pain in a variety of companion and farm animals. He is involved in the teaching of several aspects of anesthesia and pain management to veterinary residents and other ranks of veterinary trainees. Dr. Seddighi frequently presents topics related to anesthesia and analgesia such as anesthesia in cardiac diseases, pain physiology and management of pain in animals, and anesthesia in animals with co-existing conditions and loco-regional anesthesia in national and international veterinary conferences. Dr. Seddighi conducts extensive research in the area of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anesthetics and analgesics and is in close collaboration with multiple veterinary research institutions.
